The
Nόmadas del Arte Paint Out and Show
It is the goal of Nόmadas del Arte to bring together two hundred of the
best nomad artists working en plein air today to exhibit in one show.
Each participating artist will submit two plein air landscape
paintings. The paintings may be completed in six southwestern
states: Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas or Utah. The
artists may paint in any of these states at any time throughout the
calendar year of 2008. Four hundred paintings created for Nόmadas del
Arte will be exhibited for sale at the Southwest Gallery of Dallas
during the month of April, 2009.
Renowned Artists
Nόmadas del Arte is proud to announce that renowned artists Albert Handell, Anita Louise West, Guido Frick, Stephanie Birdsall,
Brent Cotton, and Carol Swinney
will be participating in this year’s event, helping to promote the show
and demonstrating their talents during the show opening. For helping to
make Nόmadas del Arte a complete success, we thank you!
Judging
Kristen Bucher, Editor In Chief of Southwest Art, Allen Duerr, Co
Publisher of Art of the West and Joshua Rose Editor of American Art
Collector will be judging the submitted artworks.
Awards
Total awards
will be a minimum of $5,000. Other awards to be announced.
Eligibility
Nόmadas
del Arte is open to all artists 18 years of age or older who paint en
plein air in oil, watercolor, acrylic or pastel. Participating artists
must paint from life on location. Work submitted for review should
reflect the best quality of your plein air painting.
